TWENTY ONE YEARS OF CULINARY EXCELLENCE CELEBRATED ON CRADLE MOUNTAIN
Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge will celebrate the 21st year of Tasmania's premier culinary event 'Tastings at the Top' on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May. The two-day gourmet festival, celebrating the very best in Tasmanian produce, ranks amongst the country's best food and wine experiences in one of the most idyllic settings.
Tastings at the Top kicks off with a welcome toast on Friday evening with host Peter Bourne, 'The Wine Man', together with a sumptuous buffet prepared by Peppers Executive Chef, Joshua Hamilton (previously from Freycinet Lodge and Sails in the Desert at Ayres Rock).
Saturday lunch offers food and wine matching with tips from Peter Bourne and in the evening an opportunity to enjoy an elegant 5 course Tasmanian inspired degustation menu featuring local Tasmanian produce, complemented by some of the finest Tasmanian wines.
The event is a celebration of Tasmania’s thriving food and wine scene with partners including wineries Native Point, Springvale, Clarence House and Heemskerk and food suppliers, Barilla Bay Oysters, Spring Bay Scallops and Cape Grim Beef.
Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge General Manager, Leigh Reid, said it was testament to the event’s appeal that it was celebrating a 21 years of showcasing the best of Tasmania’s culinary excellence:
“In the ever changing food and wine scene Tastings at the Top has obviously remained both relevant and enjoyable for our guests and our industry partners. It is a winning formula that we look forward to showcasing for many years to come.”
