MANTRA GROUP SECURES ICONIC SOUL SURFERS PARADISE
Mantra Group has acquired the Management and Letting Rights, plus associated real estate, for the prestigious Soul Surfers Paradise.
Mantra Group has been managing the iconic 77-level tower as agents for the receivers and managers, PwC, since 2013.
Settling on 1 July, 2015, the landmark acquisition saw Mantra Group acquire the exclusive on-site management of the building's 288 five star apartments, securing the property as a flagship offering in the Peppers portfolio.
Just 20 metres from Surfers Paradise beach, Soul offers a world class array of guest facilities, including multiple pool areas, spa, sauna and steam rooms, an oasis of tropical gardens and water features, a superbly equipped gymnasium, plus outdoor recreation facilities.
The transaction also sees Mantra Group secure ownership and operation of Seaduction, an acclaimed fine dining restaurant with wine-tasting room, private dining room, and bar.
MANTRA SAKALA RESORT & BEACH CLUB OPENS IN BALI
Mantra Group has been appointed managers of a 261-room resort on the Nusa Dua Peninsular in Bali, known as Mantra Sakala Resort and Beach Club.
The five star resort originally opened in 2013 and occupies a 2.4 hectare site at Tanjung Benoa, a region popular with Australian and European travellers seeking a luxurious experience in a beachside location away from the pace of Kuta Beach.
The resort is Mantra Group's second property in Bali, joining the five star Peppers Sentosa Seminyak, and it reflects the Group's strategic aim to selectively expand its presence in Asia Pacific destinations favoured by Australian travellers.
Offering 247 suites and 14 private pool villas, the resort boasts a wide range of first class facilities including three swimming pools, a wellness spa, health club and lagoon bar, restaurants, beach club, large conference and wedding facilities, and kids club.
BREAKFREE ON CASHEL, CHRISTCHURCH
BreakFree on Cashel, Christchurch has opened its doors following a $30 million redevelopment of the city's largest hotel.
The remodelled property offers 263 stylish hotel rooms (including unique ‘pod style' rooms), café/restaurant, bar, breakfast room, lounge, conference rooms, 24 hour reception, and onsite parking.
Formerly the All Seasons, the hotel closed after the February 2011 earthquakes and in January 2014 was purchased by the Auckland based Russell Property Group.
The extensive redesign of the hotel has seen the property achieve Grade A seismic rating and the redevelopment incorporates some of the latest smart technology.
The opening of BreakFree on Cashel marks the revival of what was arguably Christchurch's most popular hotel and introduces a modern and vibrant accommodation offering for tech-savvy business and leisure travellers.
PEPPERS ADELAIDE HOTEL CONFIRMED
Expansion of Mantra Group's CBD portfolio continues, with the announcement that Peppers Adelaide Hotel will open on 1 September.
The 202 room, five star hotel will be the first Peppers property in Adelaide, joining the Group's four Mantra and BreakFree city hotels.
Centrally located on Waymouth Street, the well-established CBD hotel is located within walking distance of the Adelaide Convention Centre, Casino, Rundle Mall, North Terrace, and city restaurants.
Mantra Group will work with owners, Hotel Invest, to upgrade the property, which offers two food and beverage outlets, meeting facilities, heated indoor lap pool, and fitness centre.
Peppers Adelaide Hotel is the latest example of the evolution of the brand in CBD locations, with other (new-build) Peppers city hotels set for completion in Melbourne and Perth in 2016.
BREAKFREE ON COLLINS, MELBOURNE
Opening on 1 July 2015, BreakFree on Collins is set to offer quality affordable accommodation in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.
Darling Towers, at 233 Collins Street, first opened in the year 2000 and ever since has been a favoured apartment hotel for leisure and business travellers who value space, a central city locale, and the right price.
The hotel comprises 93 one and two bedroom apartments, conveniently located opposite the soon to be relaunched St Collins Lane (formerly Australia on Collins shopping centre), with Her Majesty's Theatre, Regent Theatre and Federation Square all in close proximity.
Refurbishment works are already underway to successfully position BreakFree on Collins alongside the brand's other Australian CBD hotels and to take its place as Mantra Group's twelfth Melbourne city property.
