MANTRA GROUP CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WITH UP-AND-COMING FEMALE LEADERS
Twenty-six upcoming female leaders from Mantra Group came together to attend and participate in a Women in Mantra workshop held on 8 March, International Women’s Day.
The workshop at Mantra Legends Hotel was facilitated by Sonia McDonald from Leadership HQ and aimed to encourage and give the women the skills and confidence they need to achieve their career goals at Mantra Group.
The Women in Mantra initiative put in place this year, celebrates the IWD theme of ‘Pledge for Parity’ within the workplace.
“Across the group, we currently have 25 female General Managers vs. 95 male General Managers and we are passionately working towards closing the gap,” says Cherie McGill, General Manager of Human Resources for Mantra Group.
The full day intensive workshop covered areas such as leadership, strengths, confidence, resilience and the key skills to managing careers.
“The workshop was a great opportunity to gain insight into myself and the ways that I can improve to be a better leader,” says Umi Shrestha, Executive Assistant Manager at Mantra Parramatta.
The networking event held at Seaduction Restaurant, Peppers Soul, on Monday evening was an opportunity for the delegates to build relationships with fellow colleagues before participating in the workshop.
“It was such a unique opportunity to connect with the wonderful team of females that we have across the business, and it has definitely expanded our network internally,” says Stephanie Harvard, Rooms Division Manager at Peppers Docklands.
Each woman has taken away skills relevant to their current positions with knowledge to continue and develop towards their goals.
