Mantra Group News

21 May 2013: Mantra Hotels and Resorts across Australia have introduced breakout sessions with a difference to reinvigorate and refresh conference delegates, with inspiration from Mantra Ambassador Pat Rafter.

The ‘Pat’s Pick Me Up Stretches’ offered during conference breakouts are an easy but effective set of exercises for both body and mind to re-energise even the most PowerPoint-weary delegate.

Many of the names given to the stretch poses are a tongue-in-cheek reference to the personality types found in a group dynamic – including ‘the Over Achiever’, ‘the Micro Manager’, ‘the Class Clown’ and even ‘the Loosy Goosey’.

Despite the light hearted approach, the desired outcome - to ensure delegates get the most out of the conferencing experience - is very real, explains Director of MICE for Mantra Group, Paul Wilson.

“We constantly try to find new ways to surprise and service our guests and the ‘Pat’s Pick Me Up Stretches’ are a great way to create a positive vibe during breakout sessions after delegates have often absorbed a lot of information,” said Mr Wilson.

Much like Mantra Ambassador Pat Rafter who rose to the top of his sport through focus, dedication and hard work, ‘Pat’s Pick Me Up Stretches’ are intended to achieve the same.  Accompanying the six suggested stretches is a giant Jenga set requiring focus and team work; and depending on the location of the conference venue, games such as Boules, Bocce, Croquet or Foosball will also be on offer.

Mantra has nine signature conference properties featured on the dedicated MICE website www.mantraconferences.com which offer larger scale facilities for up to 700 delegates, including Mantra Lorne, Mantra Tullamarine, Mantra on Russell and Mantra on Little Bourke in Victoria; Mantra on Salt Beach in Kingscliff NSW and Mantra Ettalong Beach on the NSW Central Coast; Mantra Mooloolaba Beach on the Sunshine Coast; Mantra Legends on the Gold Coast and Mantra on Northbourne in Canberra.

An additional 14 properties in the Mantra network also cater for smaller conferencing groups between 10 and 200 delegates, located in all capital cities and a variety of regional locations.   To enquire about all Mantra conference venues contact conference@mantragroup.com.au or visit www.mantra.com.au/conference-venues
