International superstars to entertain the Hunter

The Hunter Valley is set to rock to the sounds of some of the most famous faces in the music business when a string of internationally acclaimed acts such as Simply Red, The Pretenders and Blondie perform exclusive concerts in the NSW wine country later this year.

Bimbadgen Estate in the beautiful Hunter Valley of New South Wales will play host to the world-class international and national acts as part of the A Day on the Green winery concert series.

UK band Simply Red, led by charismatic frontman Mick Hucknall, are headed down under as part of their Farewell World Tour, promising legions of Australian fans the chance to say their goodbyes in October, not to mention hearing those classic hits one last time, such as Red Red Wine, Holding Back The Years and If You Don't Know Me By Now.

One of Simply Red's very last concerts will be at the Bimbadgen Estate on October 2, with special guest, Australia's favourite Queen of Soul and disco diva, Marcia Hines.

Then in December, experience the unforgettable acts of rock divas Deborah Harry and her band Blondie, and Chrissy Hynde alongside The Pretenders.

In what's believed to be a world-first double bill, both these bands of legendary status in the rock industry will perform on December 11.

Peppers Guest House has lifted the curtain on the ultimate escape for these exclusive live acts offering exclusive Hunter Valley accommodation packages from $699* per person including two night's accommodation, two Gold entry tickets to A Day on the Green concert including return coach transfers from Bimbadgen Estate Winery, dinner for two in Restaurant Sanctuary on Friday, and a full country breakfast each morning.
