Kiwis Set to Soak Up Sunshine Coast Appeal

Sunshine Coast beaches are within easy reach of New Zealanders in need of some winter sun with Air New Zealand’s seasonal Auckland-Sunshine flights now in operation until 26 October and Mantra and BreakFree resorts are on board with great accommodation deals.

Due to the ongoing success of the route, Air New Zealand has announced it will run two direct flights a week through to 26 October on Friday and Sunday; with an extra Tuesday flight added over the peak school holiday period 23 September to 7 October. That’s a total of 42 return trips over a 17 week season.

Since the inaugural Auckland-Sunshine Coast direct flight in 2012, the region’s popularity with Kiwis has skyrocketed with Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd estimating 7000 visitors to take advantage of the direct flight season. Leading accommodation operator Mantra Group has four resorts across the Sunshine Coast offering sensational value by the beachfront for couples, families and business travellers including Mantra Mooloolaba Beach, Mantra French Quarter Noosa, BreakFree Grand Pacific Caloundra and BreakFree Alexandra Beach – each located just steps from the sand and surf.

Mantra Mooloolaba Beach offers one, two and three bedroom suites and penthouses, all with spacious balconies providing sweeping views of the ocean or surrounding town, and is priced from $178* per night for a minimum of three nights or stay longer for five nights and pay from $154* per night.

Mantra French Quarter has a sought-after location on trendy Hastings Street opposite famous Noosa Beach, offering rates from $210* per night for a One Bedroom Deluxe Apartment when you stay for a minimum of three nights.

BreakFree resorts offer competitive price points to make it even easier for families to getaway. BreakFree Grand Pacific in Caloundra, just a short stroll from the beach, is offering a One Bedroom Garden View Apartment from $111* per night when you stay three nights; or BreakFree Alexandra Beach near some of the region’s best surf beaches, has rates from $137* in a One Bedroom Pool View Apartment when staying three nights or more.
