Mantra The Observatory
Mantra Group has acquired the Management and Letting Rights for The Observatory in Port Macquarie, one of the Mid North Coast of New South Wales’ leading, and most awarded, accommodation offerings.
The 4.5 star property, which will be rebranded Mantra The Observatory, is ideally located opposite Town Beach, Port Macquarie’s main beach. The property offers 85 spacious hotel rooms and open plan apartments, an indoor heated lap pool, sauna and heated spa, restaurant and cafe, day spa, gift shop, barbeque entertainment area and secure undercover car parking.
Less than 400km north of Sydney and 600km south of Brisbane, Port Macquarie attracts a strong drive market and interstate leisure visitation, well supported by daily flights to Port Macquarie Airport.
Mantra The Observatory is one of Australia’s few certified 100 per cent carbon-neutral hotels and will be the fourth NSW North Coast property in the Mantra Group portfolio.
Mantra Group has secured a Marketing Services Agreement for a new Mantra branded hotel being developed by the Southport Sharks Club on the Gold Coast.
Mantra at Sharks will feature 120 rooms and 209 carparks and will form part of the Gold Coast health and knowledge precinct which already boasts the Gold Coast University Hospital, Gold Coast Private Hospital and Griffith University. With an opening scheduled for early 2018, the hotel will be well positioned to provide for demand leading up to and during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The key appeal of this acquisition is the opportunity to provide a fresh and unique hotel offering to the rapidly growing Northern Gold Coast region. Mantra at Sharks will also resolve the club’s accommodation demands from existing markets, including weddings, business and conference events.

FV by Peppers
Mantra Group has announced the purchase of Management Rights for the iconic ‘FV’ development, located in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. The $600m project by luxury property developer GURNER TM includes 970 apartments across threes towers, with 4000sqm of commercial space and leisure facilities.
The managed apartments and associated facilities to be called ‘FV by Peppers’ heralds the arrival of the Peppers brand to Brisbane. With multiple food and beverage premises, conference facilities, pools, private dining and moonlight cinema areas, the precinct will create a 5-star service and amenity akin to a luxury international hotel, in the heart of Brisbane.
The acquisition is also in line with The Group’s strategy to build permanent rental business after the success of Mantra Residences @ Southport Central in 2016. FV by Peppers provides a rare opportunity to secure a presence of scale and quality in a favourable location.
