How do I apply for a job?

I don't have an email address. Can I still apply?

In order to apply for a job or create a job profile, each candidate will require a unique email address. If you do not have an email address, there are many free email providers such as Hotmail or Gmail.


Do I have to attach a resume for a role?

It is recommended that you attach a resume, as it is a clear summation of your career history to date. If you do not have a resume and do not wish to create one, you can insert your previous employment, education, and certifications into your MyCareer profile.


Why do I need to attach my right to work evidence?

To work for Mantra Group, you need to have the right to work in the relevant country you have applied to work in. As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to select your current work rights. For example, if you are a citizen / permanent resident or what visa you are currently on. If you are successful in gaining a job offer with Mantra Group, you will then be asked to upload your proof of work rights onto your MyCareer profile. Once sufficient proof of work is received, we will then issue you with your contract of employment.


Can I make more than one application at any one time?

Absolutely! Just make sure you are applying for positions that match your skills, experience and career ambitions. Your application will be considered against each job for which you apply.


I applied for a position, how long will it take until I receive a response?

We have our amazing teams working on your application right now! However it is hard to say how long the recruitment process will take, as this depends on the number of candidates we have had apply. To keep up to date with where we are at, log into your MyCareer account to view your status.


WHO IS ALLOWED TO SEE MY RESUME AND HOW LONG DO YOU KEEP IT?

Depending on the position you've applied for, resumes will be viewed by the recruiting manager and Human Resources. Once you have set up your profile though MyCareer, we will have access to your resume for future job opportunities, so please keep your profile up to date. Should you not wish to be contacted for alternative job opportunities, please select “No” to the question “Mantra Group may contact me regarding other positions.”


I APPLIED FOR A POSITION WITH PEPPERS, BUT SOMEONE FROM BREAKFREE CALLED ME?

Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree are all part of Mantra Group. By submitting your resume, you authorise us to exchange your information between our related properties/businesses. This is a good thing! It means you have even more opportunities to kick start your career with Mantra Group.


DOES MANTRA GROUP OFFER TRAINEESHIPS OR APPRENTICESHIPS?

Yes. We offer traineeships and apprenticeships for people looking to develop their career in hospitality. All opportunities will be advertised through our MyCareer vacancy page.


DOES MANTRA GROUP OFFER A GRADUATE PROGRAM?

We offer one better than a graduate program. Once you are employed with Mantra Group you can apply to be part of our Emerging Leaders program designed to assist you with current and future positions. If you are looking for something more senior, ask about our Rising Starts Program, a personalised 12 month mentor program to assist your move into leadership roles.


I HAVEN'T WORKED IN HOSPITALITY BEFORE, CAN I FIND A POSITION WITHIN MANTRA GROUP?

Yes, you can! All of our positions have specific criteria, however we often employ those that may not have previous experience in hospitality and give them an opportunity to join our team. So to become a Mantra Group Team Member apply now. We are always looking for people who are keen, motivated and ready to try something new!


I HAVE CREATED A MYCAREER PROFILE, HOWEVER I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD.

Don’t worry it happens to the best of us! Click here to go directly to the ‘forgot password’ link, and insert your email address. An email to reset your password will automatically be sent to you. The email notification you will receive will be sent to your current email address used in your profile. If this is incorrect you will need to update your email address by contacting us on MyCareer@mantragroup.com.au Note, the email address you used to create your profile will always be your user name. Updating your email address in your profile will not update your username. For example if you created your account with the email originalemail@test.com, and have updated your email to newemail@test.com, when requesting to reset your password you will need to use origionalemail@test.com as your username. The system will automatically send the password reset email to your email on file, which is newemail@test.com


I AM SETTING UP A PROFILE BUT IT SAYS I ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT?

Good news, you have already created an account on MyCareer! If you do not remember your password, click “forgot your password” and insert your email address. We will automatically send you the link to reset your password.


I’VE CHANGED MY MIND OR MADE A MISTAKE, CAN I WITHDRAW OR CHANGE MY APPLICATION?

If you no longer wish to be considered for a position with Mantra Group, you can withdraw your application by logging into your profile and withdrawing your application under job management. If you have submitted your application, you can make amendments to your profile as long as the job is still advertised. Log into your profile and edit your application under job management. Yes! Once you have settled in, speak to your manager about our Rising Stars, Emerging leaders and Traineeship programs we have on offer to help you achieve you individual career goals. 

Will I wear a uniform? 

This depends on your position. Give you manager a call to discuss our grooming policy. 

Can I pursue an international career with Mantra Group? 

Absolutely! We currently have hotels and resorts in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, and are constantly looking for opportunities to expand worldwide.
