Corporate Social Responsibility
At Mantra Group we recognise the importance of Corporate Social
Responsibility and have developed a range of effective engagement programs and partnerships.
In 2012, we were recognised as a finalist in the Community Service category of the Real
Estate Institute Queensland (REIQ) Excellence Awards.
In addition to our planned activities, we aim to continuously improve the level of
social and ethical responsibility of our four CSR cornerstones:
CSR Cornerstone: Community
Red Cross National Humanity Partnership
A proud Red Cross National Humanity Partner, we support the Good Start Breakfast Club, providing
healthy breakfasts and education about nutrition to pupils in Australia's schools of greatest need.
Our New Zealand properties support Breakfast in Schools, the New Zealand Red Cross equivalent.
During the last three financial years Mantra Group has donated more than $200,000 for the Good
Start Breakfast Club and we are passionate about continuing this partnership.

reach their fundraising goals.

Our Blood Donor Program
Known as Mantra Group Lifesavers, our staff blood donors give the gift of life to people in our community
by rolling up their sleeves every three months.
All our full and part-time staff are entitled to one day of Volunteer Leave each year. This gives them the
opportunity to give back to their community by supporting an organisation of their choice.
CSR Cornerstone: Environment
With properties in a wide range of geographic locations, we operate in some extremely beautiful and
sensitive natural environments.
We recognise the importance of minimising our environmental impact and are committed to the continual development
of our environmental platform.
Our sustainability committee, CSR champions and all staff members are encouraged to work locally to improve our
management of energy, waste, water and biodiversity.
As a group we are exploring ways of becoming a more sustainable accommodation provider, some of our properties have
already achieved AAA Green Star accreditation.
CSR Cornerstone: Marketplace
Through alignments with governing bodies, associations and key government departments, we are committed to ensuring
the long term sustainability of Australasia tourism.
Not only does this help protect our export commodity, but it also strengthens our domestic market.

- Tourism Australia
- National Tourism Industry Council
- Regional Tourism Offices
This commitment has seen Mantra Group recognised with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents' (AFTA)
honourable Hotel Group of the Year accolade.
CSR Cornerstone: Workplace
Employing and accommodating people of diverse ethnic backgrounds, we are proud to be a culturally rich, equal
employment opportunity workplace. Our teams are encouraged to celebrate multiculturalism each year by hosting an
ethnically inspired Team Member lunch during Harmony Week.
